THE HOUSE OF GODD. DIRECTOR / CO-WRITER / EDITOR

CLIENT. PLUME FILMS

BRIEF. Create a live show that blends experimental theatre and animation, placing a chaotic ex-cult leader at the centre of a house full of unruly characters. The goal was to explore surreal storytelling while keeping the audience engaged and entertained.

APPROACH. I developed and directed this deliberately lo-fi, genre-bending live experience in collaboration with Plume Films, guiding both the theatrical and animated elements to create a chaotic, immersive performance.

The production deliberately embraced a rough-edged, DIY aesthetic.

Performances were live, incorporating bespoke animated sequences, green screen, and layered sound design to heighten the surreal energy. The team worked collaboratively, pushing creative boundaries and exploring the intersection of live theatre and live cinema. Humour and playfulness were central, ensuring the show was as entertaining as it was ambitious.

OUTCOME. Funded by Arts Council England, the production was a fiercely independent, creatively ambitious show that blended experimental theatre with animation in a way that was immersive, inventive, and genuinely fun.
